Business Meeting:

Thank you to everyone who helped at the Habitat for Humanity service day last Saturday.  There was a good turn out of volunteers.  There will be an house dedication for this new house next Sunday April 3 at 1pm.

We are still working on a final decision regarding the new location for our breakfast meetings.  We will stay at the Marriott throughout April to give us some more time.  This will allow everyone to take a look at both potential locations.

The District Conference will be held Friday May 6 at the Crowne Plaza.  We would like everyone to attend this Paul Harris luncheon in lieu of our Thursday meeting that week.  Please confirm with President Martha by next week.

Committee Reports:

Scholarship:  Peggy Lyons reports that she received 2 scholarship applications last week.  She has received a few phone calls.  She will schedule a meeting after the April 15th deadline to review all of the applications with the committee

Larry Decker gave his classification speech this week.

He brought with him Jason Maxwell from Mass Pay and Phil Richards from Phil Richards and Associates Insurance.  Larry is an account representative for Mass Pay Insurance Services.  He recently moved back from Florida back to this, his home town of Peabody.  12 years ago he moved to Sarasota where his kids were born and raised.  Larry has one son in college and one who is a freshman in high school.  Larry is happy to be back home in Peabody and has enjoyed being a part of Rotary.  He has a good time at the Taste and last weekend's Habitat event and is looking forward to more activities with the club.

Welcome to Peabody Rotary Larry!

Happy Dollars:  Sergeant-at-Arms Bob C, collected $49

Reminder: If you see any news articles or pictures (not Rotary related) of our members, bring them in so the member can donate $$$ to the club.  We can use the money!  But more important--we'd like to recognize and applaud our members.

50-50 Raffle: Neither Martha nor Steve M pulled the winning card

Reminders:

Our speaker scheduler, Grace Martins, asks that you tell her of any people who may want to speak to the club or whom you think may be of interest to the club.

Secretary Gary Epstein reminds members of Rotary's attendance requirements.  Members cannot miss more than three consecutive meetings without making up.  However, there are plenty of opportunities to make up.  Attend a Board meeting (All members are encouraged to attend, anyway), attend a committee meeting, work on the website, or the most basic make-up--attend other clubs' meetings!

What do you do with your empty bottles and cans?  Please bring them to the meetings every week to give to Mel.  Every nickel helps!
